From Momentary Emotion Inference to Sustained Emotion Support: Evaluating a Companion Agent in a Longitudinal Study
NeurIPS 2026 Real-Time Conversational Agents (RTCA) Workshop
PaperI’m a senior studying Statistics and Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
At ACTION Lab, I work with Kexin Quan and Prof. Jessie Chin to study how conversational agents understand users’ emotions and support emotion regulation over time. My work involves human evaluation and a longitudinal user study, with a focus on how memory and conversational context shape personalized emotional support.
More broadly, I’m interested in how AI systems learn from experience and adapt to new situations.
